I had the opportunity to record a video for the United Way about tech careers and a little about my journey in technology. A few things I highlighted were:

1. Pick a lane and go at it 100%. You can pursue development, data, machine learning, cloud architecture, productivity, security… but pick a lane and go at it
2. Get certified in the things you’re interested in
3. Develop your skill into actual projects and capture the learnings
4. Be involved in the community. Get engaged, learn, and share
5. Get a blog and document what you learn
