I had the opportunity to record a video for the United Way about tech careers and a little about my journey in technology. A few things I highlighted were:
- Pick a lane and go at it 100%. You can pursue development, data, machine learning, cloud architecture, productivity, security… but pick a lane and go at it
- Get certified in the things you’re interested in
- Develop your skill into actual projects and capture the learnings
- Be involved in the community. Get engaged, learn, and share
- Get a blog and document what you learn
